The only small issue I'm having looking around at the art they have on display is I can't find anything that I feel resembles what I want. I can see people that I look at and think they're very skilled artists and could probably do it or they're good at close to a similar style (animals, faces, whatever) but its not like I want a dragon and can look at a bunch of pictures of dragons they've done.
You've got two different types, good copy artists that'll take a pic and reproduce it, then you've got artists. Generally it's a representation as you give them more rein. Don't be picking stuff off the walls. It's there to pay the bills. Either download or get designed what you want Then tell the artist how you see it. Look at the work, they do what they're asked to do and most of their money is £40 crap
Book a consultation with an artist who you think would best accomplish your style. Ask him what his policy is when it comes to drawing, some artist will charge you to draw, some wont, non will let you take the drawing home. Copyright kind of thing. If he/she doesn't charge for drawing, great your in luck few artist do this, if they charge well then you have a choice to make because if you dont like it, you have just thrown away x amount. Some will give you a partial refund others will keep drawing until they achieve something you like.
Haven't got it done yet Step dad was meant to have done it over the weekend but was working double shifts but he should get it done in the next couple days. Its basically just a gladiator though
Sooo much Russell Crow. Actually, mostly the S.P.Q.R tattoo he carved off his arm. I've got a couple off there with bits and bobs I like, its just a case now of him putting them all together into the exact composition I want. Its a good motivator to do chest workouts more at least.
Just get as much info (pics) in one place and go through everything together. You'll narrow it down Speak to a couple of artists and see what they say, some are really good? Don't expect an early appointment at a good one, I'm talking months
Nah, I reserved a sleeve specially for this guy but my apointment has been push back another year becuase of personal reasons. If he pushes it back again I may go else were. http://www.seventattoos.com
Yeah, but there are lots of great tattoo artist out there, just means I'll probably have to wait anothet year. My dream studio is buena vista tattoo club, I would love the opertunity for a peace of work by one of thos artist... maybe when im a millionaire.
Lefty, nice to hear you're still reaearching. Most people wpuldve been bored by now One of my favourite artists comes to London Tattoo Con every year (East Tattoo, Taiwan). I got a piece from him couple of years ago. This year I'm tempted to just give money and stick my arm out and go "crack on".
Haha, money dude. I've had the same ideas for over a year now but haven't managed to save up enough to get them done by someone good. Parents wanted to get me something I'll keep for my 21st and a tattoo does last a while. I know a couple people who have done that and they're some of the best bits or work I've seen. And everyone has ink in an mma gym so that's something
It goes like that in the end. You find an artist thatb you like their style and tell them to do something with "a dragon!". Took me about 20 years to get a tattoo. Just couldn't decide what I wanted, then one day randomly opened a tattoo magazine and went, "A-ha! Where have you been all my life!" then rushed out and got 5 big pieces done in about as many months ...(I then got bored and haven't had any done since - although i do have an rather stupid idea of a design involving a donkey and ape and a chair.) I'm glad I waited.
Lol. Yeah I didn't get my first tattoo till I was about 28 or 29, I saw Buddha Yang's work in Total Tattoo Magazine and thought. "Wow,wish I had the money to go Taiwan". 2 years later I discovered he comes to London, met his team, waited another year and got myself a piece. I have had an itch of an idea. Tibetan Skull and a snake, I need to man up have it seriously looked into though.
It does pay to wait though. Wait and find a good artist, save up the cash if need be and get something you really want done. Tibetan skuls ar enice...get this done...over your face :hat: http://www.leufamilyiron.com/photos/53c20fbdaceb07b3550fc70e421d0063.jpg
