...and just because your partner earns more than you, or is better at a sport or whatever, that doesn't make them dominant. If that is a problem, it is a problem in the head of the person who feels that a successful partner makes them feel lesser.

This thread does make feel a little sad we don't have as many (or seem to have as many) female posters as we used to.
People like Princess Haru for example. She was always a good poster.

Mrs Spite certainly sportier than me - when we go running she takes the role of owner and I take the role of old wheezing fat labrador running after her. On the other hand I beat her hands down at loafing, drinking beer and deluding myself that I am a GREAT martial artist.

 

She was a great poster but in the end I think she found she had so much on that she was just too tied up to post.

My take on Dr. Moreno is that he hasn't spent much time observing females involved in athletics and their dating habits,at least in the US.

 

You should break up with her, you are clearly not emotionally mature enough to be in any kind of relationship with another adult.

 

Given this post is over three years old and has recently been necroed by a new member I think it is safe to say that the OP has either split up or resolved differences by now.

You have serious issues, and I don't think your Dr. Moreno is helping you deal with them. You should definitely look into getting a new therapist since you've now resurrected ancient threads in two different martial arts forums in order to spew the same drivel.

Get better help before it's too late!

 

I guess so. Not clinically of course. Observation is oftimes a result of simply being in society and around people. I've also observed such fascinating items as people shaking hands upon introductions,or chasing whiskey with beer.(Yes,it happens!)

I'd like to have found a girlfriend into martial arts,training's quite a big part of my life so it'd work well I think.

One thing that does annoy me (a lot) is women who invariably can't fight,feeling the need to tell me how they'd easily defeat me using the skills learnt during their 2 years of weekly Taekwondo or Krav maga sessions.

 

Oh but there's plenty of males doing that too...stupidity can be found in both men and women.
