A guy I work with has been told he has a possible fractured coccyx and that all he had do is take it easy and let it repair itself.

Anyone have any experience or advice for him?

Read the title and thought it was your injury - glad it wasn't!

    Nope, I have whiplash.

Working stepping offline yesterday, as if to do a single leg take down from the side. Been working hitting with the shoulder all night, then got the timing wrong and hit with my head.
Due to the speed my shoulders kept going.
Not been able to turn my head all day.

Anyway, back to my colleague's coccyx.

I don't have any advice but that injury sounds like a right pain the bum.*

*Sorry...I'll get me coat. Hope your mate is OK.

No advice, and only second-hand experience - My old roommate fractured his coccyx, when he fell backwards out of a changing cubicle, and in addition to the severe discomfort that came with it, I recall that it took a surprisingly long time to heal.

It is not really something that you can rest, unless your colleague gives up sitting down for the forseeable future, so unfortunately it is just one of those injuries that you have to live with until you are recovered.

Though I'd be happy to be wrong.

Because you said possible fracture, I'm assuming he hasn't yet had an x-ray?
