Quite excited. So far it's a gi, submission only format with all IBJJF submissions legal at the black belt level. That may change and it will be purple belt subs only. U 75kg so I'll definitely be the smaller guy. (Not that I'm very strong anyway)
Oh nothing that fancy I'm afraid. Get £5 commission on tickets sold and that will be about it. @Mushroom it's with Scottish Grappling. This is their first ever Invitational. I applied in the hopes I could compete. The guy that's running it will know somewhat of me because he's on the local MMA scene too and has probably seen one or two of my fights somewhere and knows I've competed BJJ before. It does ask for accolades/competitionexperience so I just wrote 6-2 am my MMA. I've won like one or two local bjj comps in my weight class but nothing major. As a comparison some of my team mates who applied have competed at the Euros before and one even medalled at purple belt last year. Another is an international level judoka. So hopefully they will be on this card too.
