I got my CoC gripper. Is it better to close it all the way & let it open immediately, or do you hold it closed for a few seconds and then release?

The booklet linked on the site doesn't mention that, but does basically mandate full range of motion and gives some recommendations on structuring the training (as well as peddling a plethora of other, probably quite expensive, training tools :p). I'd say just give it a firm squeeze each rep just to make sure you CAN keep it closed, and use that as a gauge of where you stand fatigue-wise at any given time, but you might do well to fish around for recommendations from people who have been using them for a while.

Thanks, I poked around the site and found some instructions but didn't see the booklet.
    EDIT:
Aha--the book does talk about it:

    3) If you can do at least 10 reps with your work-set gripper, we recommend that you begin incorporating your challenge gripper into your training. After you have finished your work sets, give your challenge gripper a maximum effort and hold it in this position for 3–5 seconds. If you like, rest and repeat this for up to a total of 3 maximum efforts with the 3–5 second holds.

I assume then the other reps are just close & then release.

I can do ~20 reps (fully closed) with my right & 16 with my left on the 100lb, so I'm getting the 120 and 140 as well... and the expander bands for flexing.

I use mine for static holds in the main, but I do need to buy some stronger ones!

There's some cheap adjustable ones knocking around online at the moment that are OK too for the lower levels.

You can use normal thick elastic bands for the extension work too. Again especially in the lower levels of strength.

  6. Get to a Ground where you have a lot of Green Grasses and Put your body weight on your knuckles like hanging upside down, you can take support from any tree for balance. Do this at least 16 days 5 mins minimum then your knuckles are going to become blacken and stronger. I have trained people from Boxing to karate to Muay Thai and kung fu trust me, you will thank me later. this comes straight from my 43+ years of training experience. Wish you luck.

Yet on your website you say this.

This isn't a statement that anyone with a knowledge of boxing would say.

  8. This is true because when you Compared Boxing or KickBoxing are limited in a sense where they have very limited techniques for a practical fight scenario. Not every fight is a stage fight controlled by rules and pre-defined environments. I respect your and everyone skills including the students and my intention is not to make a style greater than other. The whole point of martial art is defending yourself if a student is specifically trying to learn Boxing or Kickboxing that's great but in terms of real fights, I have seen devastating results.
** Again I am not trying to comparing anything with other its just my observation throughout the years, your opinion can be different, I respect that and would like to know more what you think. thanks for replying.

And how many boxing or kickboxing matches have you had?

  10. Near about 78 (Boxing + Kickboxing), We have also another one coming this September, I encourage you to join if you would like. Thanks!

I understand why you are asking this but trust me when I say this the picture you have about me is the wrong one. I love both Boxing and Kickboxing there is nothing wrong with learning it but everybody has a limited amount of power techniques are there to maximize the effects nothing else. Hope you understand my point.

how many of your students have gone through this training and have blackened knuckles? and how long did you go through this method to get knuckles in this condition?

Do you do heavy bag work since doing this without gloves? I'm interested to know the results of such training.

78 boxing/kickboxing fights is quite a lot, are these amateur or professional bouts? What is the rule set for these competitions? Does your knuckle conditioning help with these matches?

In Boxing/Kickboxing specifically, I am training around 321 students this month, Most of them are non-athlete or semi-athlete they tend to take more time in this process for almost 40 days straight.. roughly. Others who can bear the initial pain gets the initial results in 14/16 days. If you are really serious about conditiouning your knuckles do it for 6 months regularly and then punch your opponent he will tell you what has chnged! (This is only if you are fighting bare knuckles)

If you wear gloves then the impact is low but you have already strengthed it so less chances of injury. We do heavy bags but in my training I add a technique from kung-fu,
in case you are interested its 1st hitting wet soil for 2 weeks then hard soil for 4 weeks, then hot+cold sand for 2-3 weeks then finally iron balls for rest of the training. It hurts at first in everystage but once you do it under supervision your hands will be something you will be proud of. If you are doing this then please don't skip any stage as you may get hurt preety bad, I will try to do a video in future if possible.

Now to answer your last question I will have to speak about my background a lil bit. i started my martial arts practise at the age of 8, i am 56 now, I can't remember a single day when I have intensionally skipped practise. Anyways the fights I had in Boxing/Kickboxing are mostly professional except few random people challenging me. I have not even mentioned the fights i have had in other styles like Karate, kungfu, judo,Aikido and taikiken. Also I am not mentioning the fights i had in life-death situations, it was a property dispute so... you know the rest. I am known as ThypoonTyson to our media and newspapers. Surely with age i have lost a lil bit of speed but have enough to fight 10:1 evan now. If you have any more questions i will be more than happy to help but i am pathetic in technology so you may have to wait a bit.

For Your refenance, I am attaching a Vacume Practice of myself, See the red patches they are from an ancient internal organ compression where you can't even move incase of error you will have very limited chances to live.. anyways its getting huge maybe i am wasting your time, see the img

  16. I have uploaded the screenshots of the newspapers and my certificates (if you are asking for that too) already in my site.

Nope, don't understand that logic at all.

Boxing has a jab, cross, hook, uppercut and overhand, yet how come no-one can get neat to Mayweather?

How come Tyson laid flat all (almost) that stood before him?

Do you think the martial artists you train could get close to these guys.

To say boxing is limited is foolish in the extreme.

Have you done boxing, or trained in an art with punches, as the two are a million miles apart?

    I'm confused;
you say that boxing isn't useful to train for street defence, yet you train to compete in professional boxing bouts?

this seems contradictory as it's part of your training, then how can you separate the results as it is what has made you.

which organisation runs the professional bouts? I couldn't find any data of your fight record.

I can't see anything about your boxing kickboxing record, or your upcoming competition?

Edit, or who any of your teachers are.

I'm sure you would want to clear this up, as that would be what a real professional would do.
