Gwen Mccrae - Best Of 70's soul with a little Blues and Early Disco influence. Rockin' Chair, Keeps on raining, Let's straighten it out, it's worth the hurt.
Depeche Mode - Songs of Faith and Devotion/live Got to see DM live twice on the Faith and Devotion tour. Both shows were amazing, including opening acts The The, Stabbing Westward, and Primal Scream.
Is there anything that doesn't sound good when you redo it in metal? Heaven Is A Place On Earth by Belinda Carlisle Meets Metal
Ziggy Marley/the Melody Makers - Jahmekya Great Raggae from Ziggy. Kozmik, Rainbow Country, Good Time, Generation.
John (Cougar) Mellencamp - The Best That I Could Do An American Music Icon. Going back after some time and listening to this guys hits, one after the other, has really made me appreciate his songwriting and singing more than ever. I really like the "Scarecrow" and "Lonesome Jubilee" era. I need a lover, Pink Houses, Lonely Ol' Night, Paper in fire, Cherry bomb.
Depeche Mode - Exciter I didn't really care too much for this CD when it was first released in 2001. Was hoping for something more along the lines of "Violator" or "Faith and Devotion". Listening to it today I find myself liking the smoother more ambient mood of this CD much better, perhaps because I am older. Dream on, Freelove, Easy tiger, Shine.
Natalie Merchant - Tigerlily Natalie has a cool, Unique voice and wrote great songs with 10,000 Maniacs and as a solo artist. Pretty much a "Chick" album but the three hits are really good. Carnival, Wonder, Jealousy.
Rag and Bone Man. Travelled to train with John Titchen and friends today and listened to the entire album on the way. Very good album with 21 strong tracks.
Just a term....like Chick Flick, meaning a movie geared to or more generally liked by females. No offense meant if that's what your questioning. I am a male who purchased this CD way back when because the 3 hits were really good songs. The rest of the tracks while musically solid are pretty much weepy ballads which typically play better to a female audience.
The Steve Miller Band - Grt Hits Classic rock from the 70's. Swingtown, Rock N'Me , Serenade, The Joker, Fly like an eagle
