Does anyone know of companies in the UK which will hire out judo mats (jigsaw or otherwise) at a reasonable rate? We're trying to organise a course for around 130 people next year, so we probably need about 250 m2 of mat space. A fairly thorough google search only brings up a couple of possible options, many of which are film production suppliers offering a fairly small number of mats. Cheers
Not easier to hire a hall that comes pre-equipped? That's he only way I'd have thought you could get mats on a short term loan.
Have you tried Mat hire UK? www.mathireuk.com They provide mats for compititons, so I don't see a reason that they'd not cater to seminar organisers too. Travess
It might well be, but finding a place big enough is tricky. We went to High Wycombe Judo Club a couple of years ago, but it was a bit too cramped for everyone to train at once safely. Could still work if we switch groups in and out, but we usually prefer to keep everyone training at the same time if possible. I'm not sure there are many matted places bigger than there! They're the only company I've managed to get a quote from so far, and I'd like to see how others compare if possible.
