I already hate, that it's in First Person View.

I would, if I wouldn't get motion sick with certain games FPS-view stlye games and therefore can never play them.
Third person view is some much better. And more fun. And people don't tend to get sick of them.

Aside from that the game seems like it could be fun though :p

'Super Mario Odyssey' on the Nintendo Switch. OH. MY. WORD.

The original 'Super Mario Bros.' was the game to get me hooked in the world of video gaming. I remember finding an old arcade cabinet in some leisure centre that my school took us to once a year, and I pretty much put all my money into it. I've bought just about every main Mario title since the NES, and they've varied in quality, but 'Odyssey', in my view, elevates 'Mario' to the top of the pile when it comes to sheer gaming joy.

Meanwhile, over on my PS4, there's been a big sale on PSN, so I grabbed myself 'A Boy and His Blob' which is an awesome platformer (I remember the original from my NES days), and I'm also continuing on with 'Yakuza Zero'.

What an amazing game! I just finished it a few days ago and it's been one of the best games I've ever played!

I play a lot of video games (one of my primary entertainment activities).

    Currently I'm playing:
    - League of Legends: my main game, I have been playing it for years (6?), I'm still not very good at it... Maybe someday I'll get motivated to get better by actually drilling mechanics/doing other boring stuff like watching my replays to improve my game. (I'm silver 1.) I was better at starcraft & starcraft 2 (high platinum), but League has held my interest better than starcraft did.

    - Avernum: Escape from the Pit. A low-budget game studio (so graphics are not good), but the gameplay is nice. Its a turn-based tactical RPG. Huge world, not too expensive a game either. For some reason I haven't been able to get into Pillars of Eternity nor Divinity Original Sin, but this game scratches my rpg/turn-based-tactics itch.

    - Dominions 5: a game with insane hidden depths to it, that can be played reasonably using your intuition. This is a strategy game with a LARGE variety of races, units, gods, etc. You play as a god, who you get to design (probably the hardest part for beginners), and your goal is to beat out all the other gods for dominion over everything.
You don't control your armies in battle--instead you get to give them general orders & scripting, and then when they get into battle they will do their best to follow it. The scripting is relatively simple, but surprisingly deep. E.g., just things like 'attack', or 'attack enemy archers'. You can script individual spells on mages (up to 5) before falling back to a general 'cast spells' order. You can place your units wherever you like in relation to each other.

    - A Wolf Among Us: I like well done point & click adventures. This one seems pretty well put together. There is some real-time action stuff when you fight (rarely), but it is just things like 'hit w on your keyboard within 2 seconds to hit the guy before he hits you', then hit 's' to dodge, etc. It shows key prompts or an area to click with the mouse, and its a timed thing. The rest of the time its just all about your decisions & investigating the rather dark story. (You play as 'the wolf' from Little Red Riding Hood, but all the fables are out in the real world and hidden by glamour.) I'm only just starting into it. Graphic content/dark themes, so not for kids.

    - LA Noir: I need to get back to this one... it is pretty interesting, but I find the interrogations difficult (and don't want to just cheat my way through). I got frustrated enough to quit for a bit, but I really do want to get back into it.

Just ordered Horizon: zero dawn on ps store last night. Should be ready to play after work tonight.

Hopefully that will keep me ticking over until Feb 13th when kingdom Come: Deliverance comes out!

Also reliving the pixilated glory of simcity 2000 on my laptop.

@Morik I loved LA noire until about 2/3rds through... The mechanic of walking about until your feet rumble just got too old. It started to feel like a boring chore. There is a point later in the game where your investigation takes you to a giant warehouse. You are tasked to look for clues. I had to force myself to pick up the pad post cut scene.

I was so gutted as I'd been looking forward to the game since the early preview trailor in 2005. I played it in 2011.

    Simcity 2000!
I played a revamped simcity on android which seemed to have lost all the charm of the original. I may need to get that up on emulation.

I am not much into gaming anymore, but from time to time, like once or twice a year, I am in the mood to play something - usually one of 3 of my favourite games I used to play long ago. Like Age of Empires II. And yesterday... I just discovered there were some new updates over the years! I actually puschased them and partly make a gift of them to my dad, who loved this game, too. I am thrilled to try to play the new civilizations, maps, units, etc.! What an awesome surprise! :)

It certainly is! And my CD had some trouble with Windows 10, so I searched, and... who would have thought it got updates?! Why did no one ever tell me?!

As planned I restarted "Horizon: Zero Dawn", as I only played the beginning, with Aloy as a child.

Now, that I have to immerse myself into it, I thought I'd give it another try.
Shouldn't have done that. At all.

I played over ten hours straight (with a short break to eat something, and some "minor breaks" when I was writing via WA a little).
    Went to bed.
    Got up.
Played again, after feeding the cats and me.

I don't think I will leave the house much for some days; a short trip to the city for some quality time with my Mom (and checking the price of the games complete edition; but I'm sure I'll end up ordering it online), short walks, so I can get a Pokéstop :)oops::rolleyes:) and back to gaming.

Not necessary to mention it, but: I love it.
I like the characters of Aloy and Rost, the machines are pretty neat (even when they kick my ass), I still dislike hurting animals lol, and I probably spend too much time running around :D

When finished most of it, I throw a short game in with a platinum trophy, and will make "Horizon" my 90th plat.
At least that's how I planned it.

Funfact: I gifted myself the "Star Wars: Battlefront 2"-Ps4 slim and tried it with that game today.
First result, which already makes me happy: When playing "Horizon" yesterday on my other Ps4, the console got so loud, I thought it gets turbines and all and fly away.
Not so with the slim; I don't need to turn the volume up, so I can hear and understand what they're saying :D

I guess, the more hardware-needy games will be played on the Slim from now on

Yep! Loving Horizon: Zero Dawn at the moment. I'm not far in as I've had to show some restraint BUT it is very enjoyable. Playing as a stealth build as per usual.

I don't think I'm far in either, actually.
I waste time collecting plants, just to sell them later  :D

Then I ran back what felt like half the map I went through so far, to come to a certain camp.
Sometimes fighting watchers and sc... atters?
The others kill or at least endager me too often at the moment lol

What is awesome: tiny winy spoiler-like comment, that doesn't spoil anything from the story and not really something else either
I think(!) I saw crocodile-like machines! I *love* crocodiles! They're awesome! Like real living dinosaurs

I got Lego worlds, star wars battlefront 2, and overwatch for Christmas.

I've only got around to playing Lego worlds, which is great fun,a bit like Minecraft with quests and Lego.

I'm looking forward to having decent go on Star wars battlefront 2, despite all the slamming reviews on the loot box system, it still looks generally a good game so far.
