That's a service provided to children who we have decided do not have the abilities to contribute to society in general until they reach a certain age. Not the same as somebody post high school.

The only acceptable thing I can think of would be that the government stops subsidizing large corporations, and things like football stadiums.

And has that age always been the same?
In the UK it's been all sorts of ages.

It kind of does, location and size of school. If the school gets more pupils you will effect more if you neglect it. As in more school meals worse school or reverse? I personally wouldnt use mines cooking so. Nor was i entitled to said free school meals. I dont see how meals has anything to do with it though. And in general, the U.K has around 60 million people in it. Nobody gives a damn about a marginal number in it, thats just how it works. The capitalist start is still everyone needs a fair/equal start to life and they try to make that happen for as many people as possible. (which is pretty accurate as i see plenty of people with jobs in the U.K)

Like i stated in a edit, conscripts are cheaper. Norwegian law is loose-ish, but if they where to be attacked their population will be drafted as needed into the home guard. Part of the requirement is like a year in the home guard as well. Much cheaper to say everyone needs X amount of service and then to draft them as needed from there on. Fun thing the home guard was made after the German occupation. :p

Nah, it really needs to come back down if you ask me. Maybe around 10 or so. Little gits need to push their weight, the little leeches.

Honestly, I would say 20 is probably the new age for being able to contribute to society. I don't really think that a full four year degree paid for is the way to go. Maybe two years of a technical school that gives actual experience in a field and trains you to do something. All we need is free school for a bunch of people to major in the social sciences ::tear::.

That seems certainly valid, maybe make full engineering or science degrees a bolt on to it, so free technical college, and an easy gateway to university for those technical jobs/degrees we need as a country.

That's almost what we have in the UK, high-school till 16, and then free collage till 18, and then paid universities after that.

How does saying some of the people were hoodwinked by Hitler translate to they were right or correct to support nazis?

Bethesda embraces anti-Nazi stance: That's 'what Wolfenstein represents' | PC Gamer

"You might think that "Make America Nazi-Free Again," backed by the "NoMoreNazis" hashtag, would be a fairly uncontroversial position to take, especially for a game like Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus. Nazis, after all, are the Universal Bad Guys, and whether it's at home, or far, far away, kicking their asses is always a good idea. Yet somehow, not everyone saw it that way.

To its credit, Bethesda isn't trying to soften or backpedal on the message. In fact, Pete Hines, the studio's vice president of marketing and PR, is doubling down on it. "Wolfenstein has been a decidedly anti-Nazi series since the first release more than 20 years ago. We aren't going to shy away from what the game is about," he told GamesIndustry. "We don't feel it's a reach for us to say Nazis are bad and un-American, and we're not worried about being on the right side of history here."

This pretty much mirrors my thoughts on the matter.
